WEIGHT-LOSS TIMELINE TOOL
Estimate a realistic timeline to your goal weight.
Turn the distance between your current and goal weight into a planning range—without pretending progress happens in a perfectly straight line.
That is approximately 4 months. Real progress is not perfectly linear, so use this as a planning range rather than a guaranteed deadline.
Why a timeline is a range, not a promise
Scale weight changes with water, sodium, stored carbohydrate, digestion, training stress and other factors. Your weekly average may pause or jump even when your overall plan is consistent.
Choose a pace you can maintain
A faster target is not automatically better. Hunger, recovery, training performance and adherence matter. If the planned rate makes normal life or productive training unsustainable, the deadline is not useful.
When to revise the estimate
Recalculate after a meaningful change in body weight, activity or goal. Use several weeks of consistent data before deciding progress has stalled.
